🏙️ 1 Part: Guided Sibenik City Tour. Explore the historic beauty of Šibenik, one of the oldest Croatian cities on the Adriatic coast, with a certified local guide in Sibenik. This walking tour in Šibenik will take you through the city’s cultural landmarks, hidden corners, and UNESCO World Heritage sites.
📍 Highlights of the Sibenik Tour:
The Embankment (Riva). We start our journey along Šibenik’s charming waterfront promenade, known as the Riva. Overlooking the sparkling Adriatic Sea, this area is lined with cafés and offers beautiful views of the city’s historic skyline. A perfect introduction to Šibenik’s coastal charm.
The Mediterranean Park – Perivoj Roberta Visianija. Just a short walk away, we’ll visit a serene botanical park named after the famous Croatian botanist Roberto de Visiani. Discover Mediterranean flora, shady pathways, and the impressive monument of King Petar Krešimir IV, who first mentioned Šibenik in 1066 — giving it the nickname “Krešimir’s Town.”
Poljana Square. Next, we head to Poljana Square, Šibenik’s cultural and architectural hub. Here, modern design blends seamlessly with historical charm. You’ll admire the city library, uniquely built in two styles (modern and historic), one of the oldest theatres in Croatia, and the impressive water clock installation.
The Old Town’s Narrow Streets. Wander through the winding cobblestone alleys of Šibenik’s Old Town, filled with stone houses, quaint courtyards, and artisan shops. Every corner tells a story, making this part of the tour a step back in time.
St. James’s Cathedral – UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour concludes at the stunning St. James’s Cathedral, built entirely of stone. This architectural masterpiece is known for its intricate carvings of 71 human faces on the exterior and its mortar-free construction. Learn about its cultural and historical significance from your Sibenik guide.
Cathedral entrance fee not included (7 EUR per person). Optional visit.
🌿 2 Part: Krka National Park Waterfalls Tour
After our city tour, we’ll depart by van from Šibenik toward the lush landscapes of Krka National Park – home to some of Croatia’s most magnificent natural wonders.
📍 Highlights of the Krka Tour from Sibenik:
Skradinski Buk Waterfall. Explore the park’s most famous attraction: Skradinski Buk, a spectacular 17-step waterfall system flowing over travertine cliffs — the largest travertine cascade in Europe. Walk along the well-maintained wooden trails (approx. 2 km) that offer panoramic views and photo opportunities.
Ethnographic Village & Water Mills. Visit the traditional ethno village and see restored historic watermills in NP Krka, once used for grinding grain and cloth-making. This is a fascinating look into Croatia’s rural heritage.
Nature, Wildlife & Photo Stops. Krka National Park is a haven for wildlife and Mediterranean flora. Depending on the season, you may spot rare bird species, butterflies, and native plants.
Free Time to Relax by the River. End your visit in the park’s Green Zone, where you can unwind, enjoy a coffee, ice cream, or pancakes, and soak in the peaceful natural setting.
⚠️ Note: Swimming is not allowed near Skradinski Buk due to park regulations. However, there are designated swimming areas in other parts of the park.
